#TFH on #VLR 10/5 – Finger on the #TriggerWarning; @rodentpolitics joins

TFHRsquareVLR2I’m back LIVE on Vigilant Liberty Radio tonight at 10pm Eastern, 7pm Pacific with another edition of Their Finest Hour! Please come join the program in VLR’s chat room and interact with myself and guest George Templeton (@rodentpolitics)! If you don’t want to chat (why not?!), you can listen using the other embedded show players you’ll find around, or direct over on Spreaker. They’ve got mobile apps for iOS and Android too.

Tonight, we’ll go through a potpourri of current events: mass shootings and gun-grabbers, the GOP leadership drama in the House of Representatives, the accidental (?) bombing of a Doctors Without Borders’ hospital in Afghanistan, plus whatever else comes to mind. Winging the agenda is sometimes for the best!

IMG_6696We’ll also open up the phones at some point too, so be sure to listen or watch Twitter for call-in instructions.

10E/9C/8M/7P! Don’t miss!

Here’s tonight’s replay! Was a great show!

#TFH on #VLR 9/14: 9/11, George Templeton, Open Phones!

TFHRsquareVLR2Their Finest Hour will hit Vigilant Liberty Radio in just five short hours at 10pm Eastern/7pm Pacific! I’ve got George Templeton (@rodentpolitics, @temptherat) from Free Radical Network and Foreign Matters joining me! As George has a keen interest for foreign news that will make up a large part of our discussion (Syrian refugee crisis, UK Labour Party leadership change, Australian PM change, among others), and we’ll also dip into the latest in domestic politics (Rick Perry quits his presidential campaign, etc.) and some sports as Week 1 of the 2015 NFL Season is almost in the books!

And we’ll also get into some culture: the Miss America organization has apologized to Vanessa Williams. Bravo, long overdue, and such a big deal shouldn’t have been made in the first place – but on that we’ll discuss.

I’ll spend a brief moment recollecting 9/11 also, as the 14th anniversary passed last week.

And you can chime in too! Phones will be open, tune in or watch Twitter for the caller instructions!

Please join us for the program in VLR’s chat room! You can also listen at the other embedded players easily found on the site here or direct over on Spreaker (or one of their mobile apps).

10E/9C/8M/7P!

An Allan First: I filled out an NCAA bracket

The entirety of the United States of America is about to descend into a peculiar psychopathy known as “March Madness”, surrounding the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.

This, I need to say up front:  enter I hate basketball. buy viagra pills uk  I think the game is inane at any level. I just don’t find any enjoyment in watching, as I call it, “Bounce-bounce-bounce-SCORE! Other direction. Bounce-bounce-bounce-SCORE! Wash, rinse, repeat.”

Now, I know that mine is an unpopular opinion, and that most of my fellow Americans are preparing to be productiveless this Thursday and Friday as the drama of “Will underdog liberal arts school beat sports-factory mega-university?” unfolds.

Everybody’s been scrambling to fill out their tournament brackets, and enter pools, neither of which I’ve ever done for this sporting event. I’m not entering any pools, but I did fill out a bracket – and here’s how & why I made my picks.
