#TFH on #VLR 8/20: Back on air with @CaptainIsraelP & @B_M_Finnigan!

Finally! I’m back LIVE on Vigilant Liberty Radio on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 10pm Eastern/7pm Pacific with Their Finest Hour! Really looking forward to being back talking with you all after some time off for vacation!

It’s going to be a jam-packed program. If you’ve been watching my tweets over the last two weeks, you know I’m a Team USA Olympics fanatic, and Rio 2016 is winding down – lots to cover there.

I’m also going to be joined live by Sasha Kaplan, a.k.a. “Captain Israel” (@CaptainIsraelP). I was introduced to Sasha by TFH & VLR friend Meredith Ancret Walker (@MeredithAncret) at CPAC this year.  Sasha is both a millennial and an immigrant; she describes herself as follows:

Sasha Kaplan is a conservative blogger, who pours snark and sarcasm into her word when battling the naysayers and idiots of the social media world. Going by the title of Captain Israel, she supports Israel, conservative principles and uses her blog to educate others.

You can find her content at Captain Israel on Tumblr.

I’ll also have a recorded interview with Decision Desk HQ‘s Brandon Finnigan (@B_M_Finnigan). Brandon and I talked three weeks ago about Donald Trump’s chances in Pennsylvania, and while there has certainly been shifts in campaign dynamics since then, it’s pretty clear that Trump needs the Rust Belt to have a hope of getting to 270 electoral votes.

And then, some open phones. Please join us in VLR’s chat for the program. Alternatively you can use the other players you’ll find on the site, listen direct on Spreaker, or use one of Spreaker’s mobile apps.

Saturday, 10E/9C/8M/7P – talk to you then!!

TFH 10/18: Bob Beamon

Forty years ago today during the Games of the XIX Olympiad in Mexico City, American Bob Beamon clinched the Gold Medal in the long jump with a world-record leap of 8.90 meters – 29 1/2 feet – that shattered the previous record by 55 centimeters/21 3/4 inches!

The record stood for the next 23 years until broken by American Mike Powell in 1991. Bob Beamon, American star athlete and Olympic Gold Medalist, this day in 1968 was your finest hour!
