#TFH on #VLR 11/28: It’s “Greatest Hits” Night!

Tonight Their Finest Hour hits Vigilant Liberty Radio with a pre-recorded show for this Thanksgiving holiday weekend! The show will post at 10pm Eastern/7pm Pacific on VLR’s Spreaker page, and you can enjoy at your leisure!

The “greatest hits” I’ll be playing are:

I also want to draw everyone’s attention to a charity fundraiser VLR’s Amanda McCallister (@RightInPlanning) is conducting this holiday season. Amanda would like to host an orphan from overseas during Christmas. During the visit, they’ll have the chance to meet potential adoptive families here, and it could change a very young life for the unquestioning better. Please donate if you can!!

Here’s the show!

I’ll be back with a brand new show next Saturday (12/5) – thanks everyone for your listenership and continued support, I hope everyone had a great holiday, and safe travels if you’re on the road!

TFH for Labor Day – Some Greatest Hits!

No live Their Finest Hour this week as I’m taking the Labor Day holiday off. No worries, TFH fans, because this means you’ve got a great opportunity to go back and listen to some programs you may have missed, or that you just want to hear again!

I’ve picked four shows from earlier this year that I’m particularly proud of, and that I particularly enjoyed. Links are to the original show posts, players are embedded here for convenience, and of course, you can click “Spreaker” in any of the players to be taken to the page where you can download MP3 copies for offline listening.

Enjoy the replays, and we’ll catch you back with a new Their Finest Hour on Vigilant Liberty Radio on Monday, September 8th!

The full program plan is still being put together, but you won’t want to miss the interview I recorded with Gene Kranz, Apollo 11 lead flight director and former NASA Director of Flight Operations. I’m still trying to line up some other interviews, so help me out and keep your fingers crossed!

We’ll also play some mission audio from Apollo 11, plus have a discussion of the future of manned spaceflight including private ventures like SpaceX. Joining me this evening will be space program fans Doug Mataconis (@dmataconis) of Outside the Beltway, and Their Finest Hour‘s own Chris T. Rex (@crankytrex).

Please help keep the TFH & VLR lights on by buying some of these relevant products, including Gene Kranz’s own book!

Please come join us in the VLR chat room with embedded show player tonight! If you’re not going to chat, you can catch the show using the player in the right sidebar or direct on VLR’s page on Spreaker (or one of the Spreaker mobile device apps).
