#TFH on #VLR 9/10: Remembering

After a sketchy late summer schedule, Their Finest Hour will be LIVE tonight at 10pm Eastern/7pm Pacific! Come join me, Allan Bourdius (@UnrealAllan), for the program in VLR’s chatroom with show player. Alternatively you can listen direct on Spreaker, using a Spreaker mobile app, or with the other players you’ll find here on the site.

I’ll probably only be doing a one-hour show tonight, but we’ll see. Tomorrow is the 15th Anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and I certainly will be paying tribute and assess where we are now after so many years. Plus there’s a whole pile of current event topics you haven’t heard me sound off on, so I will!

Open phones too, for sure – (412) 206-6050

#TFH on #VLR 8/20: Back on air with @CaptainIsraelP & @B_M_Finnigan!

Finally! I’m back LIVE on Vigilant Liberty Radio on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 10pm Eastern/7pm Pacific with Their Finest Hour! Really looking forward to being back talking with you all after some time off for vacation!

It’s going to be a jam-packed program. If you’ve been watching my tweets over the last two weeks, you know I’m a Team USA Olympics fanatic, and Rio 2016 is winding down – lots to cover there.

I’m also going to be joined live by Sasha Kaplan, a.k.a. “Captain Israel” (@CaptainIsraelP). I was introduced to Sasha by TFH & VLR friend Meredith Ancret Walker (@MeredithAncret) at CPAC this year.  Sasha is both a millennial and an immigrant; she describes herself as follows:

Sasha Kaplan is a conservative blogger, who pours snark and sarcasm into her word when battling the naysayers and idiots of the social media world. Going by the title of Captain Israel, she supports Israel, conservative principles and uses her blog to educate others.

You can find her content at Captain Israel on Tumblr.

I’ll also have a recorded interview with Decision Desk HQ‘s Brandon Finnigan (@B_M_Finnigan). Brandon and I talked three weeks ago about Donald Trump’s chances in Pennsylvania, and while there has certainly been shifts in campaign dynamics since then, it’s pretty clear that Trump needs the Rust Belt to have a hope of getting to 270 electoral votes.

And then, some open phones. Please join us in VLR’s chat for the program. Alternatively you can use the other players you’ll find on the site, listen direct on Spreaker, or use one of Spreaker’s mobile apps.

#TFH on #VLR 7/23: A Republican ‘Response’ to #Trump?

Their Finest Hour returns to Vigilant Liberty Radio LIVE tonight at 10pm Eastern, 7pm Pacific! Please join me for the program in VLR’s chatroom with embedded show player. If you don’t want to chat (why not?!), you can use the other players you’ll find, listen direct on Spreaker, or use a Spreaker mobile device app.

This past week saw the 2016 Republican National Convention, and the official nomination of Donald Trump to be the GOP’s presidential candidate. Mr. Trump’s address – and the one given by his daughter Ivanka immediately prior – were a mix of populism and progressivism, with a whole lot of vitriol and anger thrown in. It prompted National Review‘s Jay Nordlinger (@jaynordlinger) to tweet:

Well, tonight I’m going to help give a “Republican” response, or rather what I think the Republican Party should be, which (surprise! surprise!) bears little resemblance to what we know as the GOP.

Joining me tonight will be VLR’s Odds and Ends crew of Heather Boulware (@hboulware) and Eric Spencer (@JustEric). Tune in for a great combination of conservative-libertarian-conservatarian-liberaservative takes on Trump, plus we’ll assuredly have open phones (412-206-6050) and would love to hear from Trump defenders as well as attackers.

And, I suppose we need to look ahead to #DumpsterFireIItheDNC. Yay.

10E/9C/8M/7P, LIVE! Talk to you then.

Well, I’ll be live on Vigilant Liberty Radio at 10pm Eastern, 7pm Pacific on Saturday, July 16 with Their Finest Hour! Everything sure seems like it’s falling apart around us, doesn’t it? Well, I’ll be discussing things like:

  • Eve of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland; Donald Trump selects Mike Pence as his running mate
  • Attempted coup in Turkey
  • Terrorist attack in Nice
  • Police murdered in Dallas as questions of overuse of force by police continue
  • United Kingdom’s new Prime Minister

And more, I’m sure! I’ll open up the phones too, so you can sound off – (412) 206-6050. Please join me in VLR’s chatroom for the program too, otherwise you can listen using any of the other embedded players you’ll find here, direct on Spreaker, or using a Spreaker mobile app.

You can also listen using the other players on the site, direct on Spreaker, or using a Spreaker mobile app!

Tonight, I’m going to unpack the speech that President Barack Obama gave at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial on Friday, May 27, 2016. This is a subject I’ve written about, and it’s time for some truth telling. It’s been awhile since I’ve been in historical education mode on the program, and this is a great opportunity. Hopefully this program segment will serve parents and educators alike.

And as it’s Memorial Day weekend, I’ll have a tribute to our nation’s fallen and missing!

#TFH on #VLR 5/14: World News Night with @Veribatim!

UPDATE: REPLAY ADDED!! Their Finest Hour will be LIVE on Vigilant Liberty Radio tonight at 10 pm Eastern, 7 pm Pacific! Please join me for the program in our chatroom with embedded show player! If you’re not going to chat, you can catch the program using the other show players here on the site, direct over on Spreaker, or using a Spreaker mobile app! You can also interact with me and the show by using the #TFH hashtag on Twitter!

Katrina Jørgensen (Twitter)

Tonight, I’m welcoming back Katrina Jørgensen (@Veribatim) to the program! Katrina writes for Independent Journal, and is the director of the Young Republicans International Committee, so of course we’ll be whipping around the world’s news! I’ve got a whole pile of topics in mind, like the upcoming “Brexit” vote in the UK, missile defense in Eastern Europe antagonizing Russia, the Brazilian political upheaval/scandal, and much more. Katrina’s world knowledge is unparalleled in my opinion, and if you have any interest in what goes on beyond our country, you won’t want to miss her!

In hour two of the program, I’ll probably open up the phones and I’ll be talking about the latest in the transgendered SQUIRREL! issue of 2016, news reports coming out on Donald Trump which help explain why I’ve been #NeverTrump for 30+ years, more about my Captain America: Civil War reaction, my last weekend (5/7-8/2016) filled with roller coasters, and maybe a rant or two.

Talk to you at 10E/9C/8M/7P, and don’t forget your Twitter follows (@allanbourdius, @TFHBlogAndShow, @VigilantLiberty) and your Facebook likes (Their Finest Hour, Vigilant Liberty Radio)!

#TFH on #VLR 4/30: @AwakeGOP, @redsoutrage, & more!

UPDATE! Replay added! Their Finest Hour hits Vigilant Liberty Radio LIVE at 10pm Eastern, 7pm Pacific on Saturday, April 30th! Please join me for the program in VLR’s chatroom with show player. If you’re one of those folks too shy to chat in an anonymous-if-you-want chatroom, you can listen using the other embedded players you’ll find around the site, or head direct to Spreaker or use one of their mobile device apps!

Katie Jerkovich (Twitter)

It’s going to be a great show, because I’m welcoming my good friend and newly minted Daily Caller entertainment writer Katie Jerkovich (@redsoutrage)! Katie’s been writing up a storm over there, so we’ll be covering a lot of cultural bases with some political crossover. Plus, Katie’s California is shaping up to be the final battlefield to decide who wins the Republican nomination for President. As she’s on the ground there, and has been to some campaign events personally, it’ll be interesting to hear her perspective.

Sarah Kingston (Twitter)

My second guest this evening is Sarah Kingston (@AwakeGOP) for a first time appearance! I’ve asked Sarah on the program because (a) I know her to be reasonable, and (b) she is a Donald Trump supporter. We’ll talk about how she’s come to backing Trump after supporting several others of the supposed 2016 GOP “deep bench”. And we’ll do it with something nearly entirely lacking in interactions between Trump supporters and not: mutual respect!

GoingRedBannerAdAlso, as many of my regular listeners know, I’m not the biggest Carly Fiorina fan, so her tapping by Ted Cruz to be his Vice President…somehow…will probably be worked in with me telling a little story and then going on a huge rant about how if Senator Cruz had actually run a campaign worthy of 2016 and not 1980, he wouldn’t be straw-grasping right now.

And finally, I’ll have to pay some very special birthday wishes to a very special someone in my life.

Oh, and may take a call or two – (412) 206-6050 is the number.

Here’s the show replay! Great time & discussion was had by all! (MP3 download)
