UPDATE: REPLAY ADDED! I’ve got Their Finest Hourlive on Vigilant Liberty Radio tonight at 10pm Eastern, 7pm Pacific for an extra special night! Since the wonderful Krystle Schoonveld (@TarheelKrystle) and myself are skipping The Roundtable of Extreme Liberty tomorrow night due to preparations for leaving for CPAC (plus it’s my daughter’s middle school musical), we’re going to do TFH a bit “Roundtable” style.
Besides Krystle, we’ll keep Amanda McCallister (@RightInPlanning) around after her 9pm ET program The Edge of Anarchy (tune in to her too!) and I’ll also be bringing Randy Clemens (@bostonrandy) into the mix, and maybe one or two other, plus we’ll probably open up the phones!
UPDATE: REPLAY ADDED!!Their Finest Hour returns live to Vigilant Liberty Radio at 10pm Eastern/7pm Pacific on Monday, December 29th to help wind down 2014! I’ve got a great show planned. First up tonight will be the lovely and fun Amanda McCallister (@RightInPlanning) who – as we’re very excited to say – will be premiering her own VLR program, The Edge of Anarchy, next Monday (January 5) at 9pm Eastern as a live lead-in to TFH! Joining us also will be Chris T. Rex (@CrankyTRex). Since Chris is along, the #GamerGate controversy will certainly be on the agenda, plus I’ve been subjected to the Sony PlayStation outage and may need to rant a bit. We’ll try and keep it light and fun, and please come join us in VLR’s new and improved chat room for the program! If you don’t want to join us in chat, you can listen using the show player at right or direct on Spreaker (or one of their mobile apps).
10E/9C/8M/7P, talk to you then!

UPDATE: REPLAY ADDED!! I hope all Vigilant Liberty Radio and Their Finest Hourfans had a great Thanksgiving holiday with their families and friends! I took last week off on Monday for the busy holiday week, so it will be great to be back on the air tonight at 10pm Eastern/7pm Pacific for another great two-hour program!
Joining me this evening for the whole show will be my friend Amanda McCallister (@RightInPlanning); we’ve got a few topics planned, but it’s likely to be somewhat of a grab-bag, and yes, we’ll be taking calls!
Last Monday (11/24) of course was the night of the Ferguson, Missouri riots in the wake of the Darren Wilson/Michael Brown grand jury non-indict. Amanda has a post here at TFH with her thoughts on what happened, and we’ll use that as a starting point. We’ll be branching out into several different topics, so be sure to tune in!
Being a white woman, I often times feel uncomfortable when reading or confronting any black individual on the issue of Ferguson. Let’s face it: race is controversial because we are too afraid and/or stubborn to look at the issue head-on. Some liberals claim that we live in a post-racial world in order to escape the conversation, while some conservatives simply say “this isn’t about race” and leave it at that. Whether we like it or not, the protests ARE about race and the protests aren’t only directly related to the Ferguson case. The outrage is at a system that is, in fact, biased against African-Americans (particularly men).
I don’t know what it’s like to be black or male… or both! I simply cannot claim to understand these things for the blatantly obvious fact that I am neither black nor male. Yet, I can speak from the experience of a Generation X female.
Taking care of on-air duties tonight will be Amanda McCallister (@RightInPlanning) whom you’ve heard before both on TFH and our Roundtable of Extreme Liberty on Tuesday nights! Amanda is planning to talk about state vs. federal concerns in Ebola quarantines, recent pre-Halloween chaos in Athens, thoughts on a Jeb Bush 2016 run, and – as she told me – some of her “recent libertarian meltdowns”.
Liberty received good news from the US Supreme Court pretty much across the board in the last week. From rejecting laws that prevented pro-life activists from picketing abortion clinics, to requiring search warrants for the police to look at your mobile phone, to saying home health care workers can’t be union-extorted, to saying that private citizens can’t be forced to offer items through their businesses that violate their religious beliefs, and more, the individual got just a little more of their sovereignty protected.
Joining me tonight for another appearance on TFH is Amanda, who hopefully you know from Twitter as @RightInPlanning. We’ll be talking about the Supreme Court decisions and a whole lot more! I’ll be opening up the phones too, so you’ll have the chance to join our program live! Be sure to tune in to get the call-in instructions!
Unfortunately, I had to cut the show short due to a family emergency, but what we had was great! Here’s the replay, plus you can click “Spreaker” in the player to be taken to the location to download an MP3 for offline listening!
