UPDATE: REPLAY ADDED!! Their Finest Hour hits Vigilant Liberty Radio LIVE at 10pm Eastern, 7pm Pacific tonight (Monday, May 11)! You can listen to the program using the embedded players you see here, but please come join us in the VLR chatroom and interact with me, your host, and the other listeners!
Of course, TFH is brought to you in part by Comfyballs! Be sure to sign their petition in support of their ongoing fight with the US Patent and Trademark office over their “vulgar” name!
On tap for tonight:
- Last Friday was the 70th anniversary of V-E Day – the end of World War II in Europe. We’ll mark the occasion and talk briefly about where the world today stands seven decades on.
- The back-and-forth over reactions to alleged police brutality incidents is being fought over social media with competing hashtags like “#BlackLivesMatter” and “#PoliceLivesMatter”. Perhaps what we should really be worrying about is “#LivesMatter” period. Also, University of Pittsburgh law professor David A. Harris published a column in the Sunday Pittsburgh Post-Gazette called “What does good policing look like?” that I’ll discuss.
- In other columns, looks like David Brooks might be on Team Marco for 2016, but didn’t he forget a key factor about Senator Rubio?
- I spent Saturday (May 9) at Hersheypark! I love roller coasters, so we’ll do some talk about favorite rides and theme park attractions – helpful for summer vacation planning!
Plus, there’s lot’s more and the phones will be open! Tune in at 10pm Eastern/7pm Pacific and get in the chat! You can also get us over on VLR’s Spreaker page (or a Spreaker mobile app), and please follow us there too!
Show replay – was joined by George Templeton (@rodentpolitics) for an in-depth discussion of last week’s UK election, plus Amanda McCallister (@RightInPlanning) stuck around after her own Edge of Anarchy show! (Click the show title in the player for a download link if you want to listen offline.)
